DESCRIPTION
Credit: Martin Luther King Jr.’s Powerful Message to Cleveland Students By Mary Fecteau Published January 20, 2019 www.ideastream.org
The Martin Luther King Jr. Planning Committee would like to extend a warm invitation to all young artists and creators from middle and high schools across Harrison County. In honor of the timeless words echoed by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in his iconic "I Am Somebody" speech, delivered on April 26, 1967, at Glenville High School, we proudly announce our Martin Luther King Jr. themed exhibition.
This will be an in person exhibition that will be displayed at the Corydon Presbyterian Church during the Martin Luther King Jr. celebration on January 19th, 2025. Following this event, a select collection of artworks will have the opportunity to continue their journey at the esteemed Harrison County Arts’ Linda Shoults Resource Center. These pieces will be featured during their Annual themed members exhibition, extending the reach and impact of your artistic expression.
We invite submissions of both 2D and 3D works, with the theme revolving around the profound message of Dr. King's speech. Let your imagination soar and submit your finest creations! Please note, the Martin Luther King Jr. Planning Committee reserves the right to review and possibly decline entries that do not align with the spirit and theme of the exhibition.
